Confirmed Grahn RA, et al. Erythrocyte pyruvate kinase deficiency mutation identified in multiple breeds of domestic cats. J Feline Med Surg. 2012;14(4):234-9 (PMC3534511) - found the mutation in Egyptian Maus, attributed to Abyssinian/Somali ancestry. UC Davis VGL lists Egyptian Mau among breeds for which PK testing is recommended. No isolated Mau-only carrier-frequency figure has been published.
Inherited red blood cell enzyme deficiency causing chronic hemolytic anemia, episodic weakness, and pale gums. The Egyptian Mau's foundation stock includes Abyssinian and Somali lines, which carry one of the highest mutant-allele frequencies of any breed. A DNA test is available and recommended by UC Davis for the Mau.

A rare, usually fatal inherited neurodegenerative disease reported in Egyptian Mau kittens, with onset as early as 7 weeks - tremors, limb stiffness, and loss of bladder control. Presumed hereditary based on clustering in the breed, but the causal mutation hasn't been mapped.
