BMC Vet Res (PMC3534511) - mutant allele frequency of 23.0% in US-sampled Singapuras and 41.4% in UK-sampled Singapuras (32.7% combined), among the highest of any breed surveyed.
Inherited red blood cell enzyme deficiency causing chronic hemolytic anemia, with episodic weakness, pale gums, lethargy, and weight loss. A multi-breed genetic survey found the Singapura carries this mutation at one of the highest allele frequencies of any breed tested. A DNA test is available.

The Singapura descends from a very small founding population, and a 2008 DNA study of 22 cat breeds found it had the least genetic diversity of all breeds tested. Low diversity doesn't cause disease directly, but it raises the odds that recessive conditions like PK deficiency surface and persist in the breed.
